The unemployment rate stood at 10 percent in the same quarter last year, Daily Sabah newspaper reported, citing Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) data. The unemployment rate was estimated at 7.5 percent for men and 12.5 percent for women. The youth unemployment rate for the 15-24 age group stood at 17.1 percent, down 0.7 percentage points from the prior quarter.
