Saudi’s $500 billion giga project Neom has appointed a company to head its superyacht destination on the Red Sea.

JLS Yachts, a Middle East-based yacht agency and concierge service provider, will manage Sindalah, which will be home to more than 5,000 berths.

Set to open in 2024, Sindalah is one of the 41 Neom islands and will be the first tourism destination.

JLS Yachts will provide a range of services at the Island, located 17 hours from the Mediterranean.

In June, Neom said Monaco-based BWA Yachting will establish an office at the Sindalah marina.

Sindalah Marina will have 86 berths for yachts up to 50 metres and additional serviced offshore buoys for superyachts up to 180 metres.

In December 2022, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the development of Sindalah.

“Sindalah will be Neom’s first luxury island and yacht club destination in the Red Sea, providing a scenic gateway to the Red Sea that will become the region’s most exciting and attractive tourism location,” the crown prince said.

Located in the northwest of the kingdom, Neom is at the heart of the Vision 2030 drive to diversify the country’s economy. It covers 26,500 sq km and will be powered by 100 percent renewable energy.

Saudi Arabia has been described as the biggest construction site the world has ever seen, with $1.1 trillion of building projects currently in progress across the kingdom.
