In this special report published as the UAE prepares to stage the United Nations’ Cop28 climate change summit, AGBI examines the Gulf’s journey to reaching net zero. 

With input from government officials, industry experts and academics, as well as analysis of key data and global rankings, the report asks what specific challenges each GCC nation faces, what targets have been set to lower emissions and how much progress has been made to date.
