Omani fuel retailer plans 14 new stations in Saudi Arabia

The new 'one-stop-shop' stations will increase the number of service stations to 26 by the fourth quarter of 2023

State-owned Oman Oil Marketing Company (Oomco) plans to open 14 service stations in Saudi Arabia as part of its regional expansion strategy.

The new “one-stop-shop” stations will increase the number of service stations to 26 by the fourth quarter of 2023, state-run Oman News Agency reported.

The agreement is part of a memorandum of understanding signed between Oomco and Tamiyoz for Fuel, a Saudi-based investment and development company for fuel stations.

Jaber Mansour Al Wahaibi, general manager of international retail, business development, strategic planning, marketing and digital transformation at Oomco, said the company aims to become one of the top five fuel marketers in the GCC by 2027.

“Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing population and vibrant economy mean that there is a growing need for us to build and develop more service stations across the kingdom,” said Yousif Masoud Al Saadi, CEO of Tamiyoz for Fuel.
