Exports during the first six months increased by 26 percent to AED 49.47 billion, compared to AED 39.19 billion in the same period in 2021. Re-export activities increased by 6 percent year-on-year to AED 23.43 billion in the first half of 2022. Saudi Arabia was the largest contributor, growing 3 percent to AED 28.64 billion from AED 27.90 billion. Switzerland followed with AED 9.53 billion, surging 260 percent year-on-year. The US came third with AED 9.33 billion, up 21 percent year-on-year, followed by China (AED 5.96 billion) and Kuwait (AED 5.87 billion), the report stated.
