Through its national climate change action plan 2030, Qatar aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25 percent. “Parsons has committed to several sustainable initiatives as part of the project, such as incorporating recycled materials into the design,” Santoni said. Parsons started working with Ashghal in 2002 and previously collaborated with them to deliver transportation planning services for the Fifa World Cup 2022. Ashghal in May tendered a new projects package, which includes 22 building projects worth QAR4.1 billion ($380 million), as it moved forward to complete infrastructure and public buildings projects according to the government plan.
