Cerebras Overview

Cerebras Systems is a US artificial intelligence company that specialises in building computer systems for complex AI deep learning applications.

Its headquarters are in California, with additional offices in San Diego, Toronto and Bangalore, India.

The company has raised a total of $720 million in funding to date. In 2021 a Series F funding round led by Alpha Wave Ventures, Abu Dhabi Growth Fund and G42, the AI tech holding company backed by Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund Mubadala, among others. Cerebras was valued at $4 billion.

In September 2024 Cerebras filed for an IPO on the Nasdaq exchange. However a week after the filing, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the USinitiated a review of G42’s investment in the company, delaying the IPO.

In April 2025 it was announced that Cerebras Systems had cleared the US government review into its ties to the UAE’s G42.
