Baykar Technology Overview

Baykar Technology is a defence technology manufacturing company specialising in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems that serves the defence and aviation sectors within Turkey.

Its product portfolio includes command, control, communication, computer and intelligence (C4I) UAV systems, AI systems and other advanced technologies.

Founded in 1984, the company initially operated as a CNC precision machining supplier for the automotive industry.

In 2000 Baykar initiated research and development into UAV systems, more commonly known as drones, starting production of the Bayraktar Mini UAV in 2004.

By 2007 the Bayraktar Mini UAV became the first privately funded UAV system adopted by the Turkish Armed Forces.

Baykar continues to support the Turkish national defence industry and exports its products, including Baykar drones, to countries such as Qatar, Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

The company maintains a focus on developing cutting-edge UAV technologies.
