Bahrain Bourse Overview

The Bahrain Bourse (BHB), also called the Bahrain Stock Exchange, offers listing, trading, settlement and depositary services.

There are 43 companies listed on the exchange. The Bahrain All Share Index, the Dow Jones Bahrain Index and the Estirad Index all track the Bahrain Bourse.

Established in 1987 by Amiri decree, the bourse began operations in 1989 with 29 listed companies.

Initially the exchange operated as an autonomous institution supervised by an independent board of directors, chaired by the governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain.

In 2010 Bahrain Bourse was established as a shareholding company and replaced the Bahrain Stock Exchange.

In February 2025 the Bahrain Bourse launched an incentive programme aimed at improving trading activity and increasing the number of institutions investing in Bahraini stocks.
