Saudi Arabia’s giga-project Neom has unveiled its latest eco-friendly tourism destination on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba.

Siranna, located in northwest Saudi Arabia, will be home to a 65-key hotel and 35 “exclusive” residences.

The architecture of the “ultra-luxurious” destination comprises hexagonal pillars that will “blend into the adjoining mountain and wadi”, Neom said in a statement.

A beach club, spas and wellness facilities will be part of the offering.

Construction timeline and financial details were not released.

Earlier this month, the $500 billion Neom unveiled plans to build a new luxury tourism destination, Epicon, on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba.

Saudi Arabia has been described as the “biggest” construction site the world has ever seen, with $1.1 trillion of building projects currently in progress across the kingdom.

Neom has already launched Sindalah, a luxury island destination; The Line, a linear city; Trojena, a year-round mountain destination; and Oxagon, an industrial city for advanced and clean industries.

Last month Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman launched the masterplan to develop Soudah and parts of Rijal Almaa into Soudah Peaks in the Aseer region.

AGBI last week reported that Neom has ramped up its applications for patents on names and logos, registering a total of 33 this year, including 27 within the last two months, indicating that at least two new major projects are still to come.

Neom Company has made a total of 45 applications to the US patent and trademark office since June 2021, making this year by far its most active as deadlines begin to approach for the vast giga-project to show concrete achievements.

They include 18 mysterious symbols, with 12 registered in the past two months.
