Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince lands in Egypt for two-day state visit

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at Cairo International Airport on Monday night, UAE state news agency WAM reported, citing a statement by Egyptian presidential spokesman Bassam Rady.

El-Sisi and Bin Salman, who is on an official two-day visit to Egypt, will discuss bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in various fields, as well as regional and international political issues of mutual concern, the statement said.

Bin Salman’s visit to Egypt is his first leg of a three-nation regional tour that includes Jordan and Turkey.

“Upon directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and emanating from his keenness to enhance the Kingdom’s relations with the friendly and brotherly countries as well as in response to invitations extended to HRH the Crown Prince will meet the leaders of these countries to review bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in addition to discussing issues of common interest, ” the Saudi Court said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency on Monday.
