Cristiano Ronaldo has signed for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia in a deal that is expected to earn him over $200 million a year.

The Portuguese striker, 37, agreed a contract yesterday that runs until 2025.

He was a free agent after leaving Manchester United by mutual agreement in November following an interview he gave on Talk TV criticising the club.

“I am fortunate that I have won everything I set out to win in European football and feel now that this is the right moment to share my experience in Asia,” Ronaldo said.

The Portugal captain is regarded as one of the best footballers ever and has a trophy haul that includes five Ballon D’Or awards, five Champions Leagues, three Premier League titles with United, two La Ligas with Real Madrid and the European Championship with his country.
