Aldar brings Nobu Hospitality brand to Abu Dhabi island

Aldar will develop a 5-star hotel featuring 165 luxurious rooms and suites

Abu Dhabi’s Aldar Properties has partnered with US-based luxury lifestyle brand Nobu Hospitality to launch a new luxury hotel, branded residences, and a fine dining experience at Mamsha Al Saadiyat, the developer said in a statement.

The agreement will see Aldar develop a five-star hotel featuring 165 luxurious rooms and suites, including the rooftop Nobu villa.

Expected to open in 2026, the hotel will offer access to Mamsha Beach, including the first Nobu restaurant in Abu Dhabi.

Situated alongside the hotel, the planned development includes the first branded Nobu Residences in the Middle East and the second worldwide, offering high-end, multi-bedroom sea-view residences.

Talal Al Dhiyebi, group chief executive officer at Aldar Properties, said that the new project activates Aldar’s existing prime landbank in Mamsha Al Saadiyat and will bolster its portfolio of high-quality and recurring income-generating properties across residential, hospitality and leisure segments.

The developer will also start construction of Yas Park Gate, a gated community next to Yas Park, in Q1, 2023, with handovers expected to commence in Q1, 2026.

The AED 1.15 billion ($313 million) residential development, which is part of the second phase of North Yas, will house 508 new homes over 255,000 square metres.

Elsewhere, Aldar earlier this month also acquired prime beachfront land on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) to build its first residential development in the northern emirate.

Set to launch in 2023, the development will include 2,000 branded and premium homes on a plot of over 40,000 square metres, plus retail spaces and a beach club.
