Saudi Arabia’s investment promotion authority, InvestSaudi, will establish its second office in the United States in Miami to target flows to and from North and South America.

Khalid A. Al-Falih, the Saudi investment minister, made the announcement on Thursday at the Future Investment Initiative summit in the South Florida city.

“By selecting Miami as our second office for InvestSaudi we are opening new pathways for inbound investments into the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, but also to facilitate outbound investments,” Al-Falih said.

InvestSaudi already operates an office in Washington DC.

Al-Falih said he is “proud, delighted and confident” that InvestSaudi’s forthcoming Miami office will be a magnet for investors in the area that want to enter the Saudi market as well as for Saudi players that are interested in opportunities opening up across the Americas.

Trade, investment and business links between the GCC region and Latin America have been growing in recent years and are expected to deepen further.
