The growth was driven by the opening of new hotels and resorts, a growing calendar of international events, increased connectivity to Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, marketing campaigns, and more than 2,200 international activities and market engagements across 70 cities, the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority reported. The revenue figure was not disclosed. The emirate started new direct flights from key cities in Poland, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Romania, the Czech Republic, Russia, Saudi Arabia and India. The number of Mice visitors – those coming for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions – rose 15 percent year on year, due to the emirate hosting more than 80 international events and a free visa initiative for Indian Mice groups and wedding celebrations. Ras Al Khaimah, which has a population of around 400,000, has set a target to attract more than 3.5 million annual visitors by 2030. China also emerged as a significant growth market after the RAK tourism authority boosted visibility through strategic initiatives, including collaborations with Huawei Group and Chinese travel platform Trip.com, as well as establishing a strong presence on Chinese social media platforms such as WeChat, Red, and Douyin.
