Tadweer

Tadweer Overview

Formerly known as the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Company, Tadweer Group is an Abu Dhabi-based waste management and recycling services company.

It was established in 2008, focusing on waste management. It imposed fees on waste producers and by 2011 the company had invested AED6.6 billion into recycling.

Tadweer was acquired by Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company (ADQ) in 2022. It was then was converted to a public joint-stock company, and full share ownership was transferred to ADQ from the government of Abu Dhabi.

Tadweer is the only waste management company in Abu Dhabi. Its goal is to divert 80 percent of Abu Dhabi’s waste away from landfill by 2030.

In 2024, Tadweer Group acquired Enviroserve, a processing centre that specialises in electronic waste recycling.
