Nakilat Overview

Qatar Gas Transport Company – which is more commonly known as Nakilat – is a Qatari shipping and maritime company.

Established in 2004, it has one of the world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipping fleets, comprising 69 LNG carriers.

Through its wholly owned subsidiary Nakilat Shipping Qatar Limited, Nakilat manages and operates one floating storage regasification unit, four very large LPG carriers and 24 LNG carriers.

Nakilat also operates the Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma shipyard in Ras Laffan Industrial City, providing ship repair and offshore fabrication services.

Through Nakilat Agency Company it also provides shipping agency services at all Qatari Ports and terminals, as well as towage and other marine support services through its joint venture Nakilat SvitzerWijsmuller.

Nakilat’s Vessel Support Unit offers chandlery, storage and logistics services for vessels operating in Qatari waters.
