Dubai Taxi Company Overview

Established in 1994, with operations starting in 1995 with 221 taxis, Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) is the largest taxi operator in the emirate, with current market share of approximately 46 percent of the total volume of taxis.

DTC operates more than 9,000 vehicles – including about 6,000 taxis – and manages a workforce of more than 17,500 drivers.

Alongside its large, eco-friendly fleet of taxis, its services include VIP limousines, buses and last-mile delivery bikes.

In 2023 Dubai Taxi Company became a public joint-stock company with financial and administrative independence, listed on the Dubai Financial market.

In 2024 DTC signed a deal with Estonian company Bolt to launch its ‘e-hailing’ platform in Dubai. The partnership is focused on integrating Bolt’s digital technology for booking rides into DTC’s fleet and operating system.
