Du Overview

Telecoms company Du offers mobile telephony, fixed line, internet and digital television services to homes and businesses across the UAE.

It also provides satellite services for broadcasters, internet exchange facilities, a data hub and carrier services.

Originally known as Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC) – a public joint stock company incorporated in Dubai in 2005 – it commercially rebranded as Du in February 2007.

EITC’s subsidiaries are 50.12 percent owned by Emirates Investment Authority. Mamoura Diversified Global Holding and Emirates Communications & Technology Company also hold large stakes. Slightly more than 20 percent is then held by public shareholders.

Du says it has more than 8 million subscribers.
