Company Insights BinDawood Holding Retail BinDawood Holding Overview BinDawood Holding is a retail conglomerate based in Saudi Arabia. BinDawood operates under the brands of BinDawood, Danube, BinDawood Dash, Danube Dash, Ykone and IACo, an ecommerce applications company. BinDawood says it is one of Saudi Arabia’s “most popular” grocery retail brands. It has 24 hypermarkets and supermarkets across Saudi Arabia. The company says it has a strong presence in and around Mecca, where it opened the first store in 1984. BinDawood took over Danube in 2001 and now has outlets in 47 locations under the brand. In 2019 BinDawood launched BinDawood online, a digital e-commerce platform. Then in 2022 BinDawood Holding Co received approval from its shareholders to acquire an 80.5 percent stake in Ykone, a subsidiary of French TF1 Group.
