Pre-orders for the newly-launched iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro will start tomorrow (Friday, September 9) in the UAE, according to the Apple website.

The standard and Pro versions will be available in the local market from September 19, while the delivery of the Plus variant will start from October 7.

According to the website, the prices will start from AED 3,399 ($1,088), going upwards for different variants.

At the Apple ’Far Out’ event at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino, California, the company unveiled the new iPhone lineup.

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus introduce groundbreaking new technologies and important safety capabilities, said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice-president of worldwide marketing.

He added that both phones have a powerful new main camera with better low-light performance and advanced connectivity capabilities with 5G and eSIM. The newA15 Bionic will allow better battery life.

The iPhone 14 lineup will have Emergency SOS via satellite, allowing antennas to connect directly to a satellite, enabling messaging with emergency services outside of cellular or Wi-Fi coverage.

In addition, ‘crash detection’ on iPhone can now detect a severe car crash and automatically dial emergency services when a user is unconscious or unable to reach their iPhone.

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are designed to minimise their environmental impact, including antenna lines that use upcycled plastic water bottles that have been chemically transformed into a stronger, higher-performance material.

Later this fall, Apple Fitness+ will be available in 21 countries and non-Apple Watch users. iPhone users can access the service featuring over 3,000 studio-style workouts and meditations, all led by a diverse and inclusive team of trainers.
